The Stan Mikita School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Annual Raffle is Wednesday, June 12th! That means your chance to help support us with an Annual Raffle ticket purchase could quickly slip away. Get your tickets now before it’s too late. Remember, your contributions pay for the ice rink costs, facilities, meals, and daily expenses. These are funds that also help players receive hearing aids, speech and language therapy, auditory training, counseling, and diagnostic evaluations. The Annual Raffle makes it possible for all participants to attend the school free of charge. This year, we will be selling 750 tickets to the raffle that will see multiple winners receiving prizes from $250 up to $10,000! These valuable proceeds are what continue to help athletes who are deaf or hard of hearing achieve goals beyond hockey by developing confidence and self-esteem through the game of hockey. Several thousand deaf and hard of hearing athletes will participate in AHIHA sponsored programs such as this year’s inaugural Jeff Sauer International Deaf Hockey Series and future World Deaflympic events. Each participant will experience a new outlook on life, the opportunity of making new friends, sharing a common bond of hockey, life experiences and a positive environment.
